Mission

BASIS Independent McLean’s Science Olympiad Division C team brings together students who want to go deeper into science and engineering than the classroom alone allows — through hands-on events, team-based problem solving, and competition against schools across the region.

What is Science Olympiad Division C?

Science Olympiad is a national STEM competition. Division C is the high school division, in which teams of up to 15 students compete across roughly 23 events spanning life science, physical science, earth science, engineering, and inquiry — some tested through written exams, others through devices students design and build themselves.
